Pathways Strategy (LIPID MAPS) consortium(Fahy et al.,2011). Fatty acyls,
glycerolipids, glycerophospholipids, sphingolipids, saccharolipids, and
polyketides have a ketoacyl subunit (called a “building block”), while sterol
lipids and prenol lipids have an isoprene building block. Each category is
further divided into classes, subclasses, and 4thlevel classes, increasing the
diversity of lipid molecular species.

 Lipids constitute a group of naturally
occurring molecules that include fats, fatty acids, waxes, sterols, fat-soluble
vitamins, terpenes, monoglycerides, diglycerides, phospholipids, carotenoids,
and others. Some of the biological functions of lipids are related to energy
storage, composition of cell membranes, and molecular signaling (Ares et
al.,2013) .When addressing lipid analysis by SFC, there is a series of
advantages with respect to other approaches, such as the absence of a
derivatization step, the potential coupling to universal detectors such as ELSD
or MS, and the simultaneous analysis of different lipid classes (Laboureur et
al., 2015)

biloba extracts using a UHPSFCphotodiode array detector (PDA)/MS method (Wang  et al.,2016.).Other natural compounds than
lipids, such as polyphenols ( Song et al., 2015 ; Ferna´ndez et al., 2014)
biogenic amines (Gong  2014) and
polyacetylenes (Bijttebier  et al., 2014)
have been investigated as well in food from vegetable origin. Curcuminoids
(curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin), are polyphenolic
compounds found in plants, with several health promoting effects. Curcumin, in
particular, possesses several pharmacological effects like anticancer,
antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and antidiabetic activities. A rapid and
efficient UHPSFC-UV method for the isolation of curcumin, demethoxycurcumin,
and bisdemethoxycurcumin directly from the methanol extract of turmeric
(Curcuma longa L.) has been reported(Song 
et al.,2015). Biogenic amines are basic nitrogen-containing compounds
found in large amounts as a consequence of microbial metabolism in a wide range
of fermented foods. UHPSFC is a useful tool for this task (Gong  2014). A UHPSFC-MS/MS method without sample
treatment for rapidly detecting TAGs and diacylglycerols (DAGs) in various
vegetable oils was recently developed (Tu et al., 2016)
